In June of 2010 we conducted a test tour with exchange students from universities within the prefecture. This is what they had to say about the places they visited.

Comments Concerning Regional Food!!!
Kozuyu
-Unlike miso soup, it was a new kind of taste sensation.
-It warmed me up right from my stomach, so it was great.

Basashi
-It was my first time to eat it, but it was tender and good.
-Sashimi is better.

Sauce Katsudon
-The meat was sweet, tender, and good.
-The pork cutlets were crunchy and good.

Tempura: Manju Tempura
-Tempura is the best. Manju tempura was sweet and good.
-Manju tempura is good even when you eat it plain (without dipping it in the dipping sauce).

Iwaki Kaisen-do
-I was able to get a feel for the different tasty flavors of various fish.
-I liked the Iwaki Raramyu Fish Market very much, as it had a very energetic feel, and sold fresh fish.
